It is cold! My KiKi birds are here; they’re the ones that set there chirping “Ki-Ki-Ki-rist its cold’! The last storm that went through blew snow into my Smoking Deck. A cold front is coming in the next few days with a low of -17 Mon. and a high of +19 Wed. I probably will be doing more of the and More cooking instead of BBQ the next few days.
We lucked out here in Wapakoneta for the two winter storms that went through lately. First it was the ice storm that went through over Christmas that left a lot of the people in the North east and up into Canada without power. Then the blizzard like weather went through the same path dumping a lot of snow and is just over. We ended up with just over 4 inches of snow that came with 20 mph winds. I hope all our members got through it OK.
Our son flew to Charlotte N.C. for the week-end to check on a home they own in the Fort Mill S.C. area. Renters moved out so he is having an open house to try to rent or sell. It is a nice home. We had the grandson for the day and our daughter in law came after work for supper. I had thawed out some chicken meat balls to have with sauce, pasta, a salad and some good bread.
After blowing out the snow from the drive that had blown in overnight I went today to get the essentials, beer! Saturday I need to get to the grocery and the wife wants to start putting away the Christmas deco, I dread that! I am making some comforting chicken and noodle soup for supper; the dil and grandson will be down to eat with us.
