Thanks Jack. One of the things the Army has learned and taken advantage of since I retired (not sure there is a corelation) is the value of competition for various skills. The snipers have been doing it for quite awhile since a friend of my took over the Army Marksmanship unit and changed its structure and mission in the late 80's. I can't recall the distances the snipers are now able to hit a target with the current weapons but it is a lllllooooonnnnnngggg way. Dee
