Another Father and Son Day
« Reply #-1 on: February 09, 2014, 02:09:21 PM »
Gotta try and keep up with Scally ;D

My 9 year old son has spent most of his young life addicted to Lego. We have more sets then I can count. My wife also does some of the adult architectural ones. I think I have spent my retirement on Lego ???

So when I got wind 2 years ago that Lego was making a movie......let's just say he was excited.  When it was announced it would premier on February 7th, we would be there.

Busted him out of school 3 hours early and we went to the fancy theatre with the killer seats.

The movie is fantastic and he has been quoting it ever sense. It was a great outing!

Sounds like a great time, I still have all my lego's from my childhood. My grandfather on my dad's side passed away when I was quite young and the only two solid memories I have of him are him taking me to the mall to buy me my first lego's and him taking me to breakfast on Saturday mornings at the El Montan Motel in San Antonio for their blueberry pancakes. :)

My kids are both Lego fanatics, but they did not want to see the movie.

Our grandson loves the legos too, I think my wife is taking him Friday to see the movie. You did it up right Pappy, you got him popcorn. To me you can't watch a movie at the theater without popcorn! Don

Ha. We should get the boys together. His other obsession is Minecraft. No sports for my boy :(
