Try this: Make two regular hamburger patties. Dice up some yellow onions. Place a handfull between the two patties. Splash with a generous glompule of Lea & Perrins. Add just a wee dash of salt and pepper. Join the two patties together, sealing the edges so the onions don't fall out. Fry 'em up in a cast iron skillet or grill 'em.
This simple entree was a staple at Herman's Cafe (Herman called it Hamburger Steak) when I was a kid. I still make these fairly often.
