I took advantage of the Charbroil SRG deal on HSN on Father’s Day.
I couldn’t pass it up for 145.00 plus shipping.  It arrived this morning
(as they were back ordered) and it took me about 15 minutes to unwrap
the packing and another 30 minutes to put it together.  The instructions
really were not too much help!


Getting ready to season it with peanut oil.


Starting to smoke!


After a 15 minute burn off I decided to see what the temp was. By the time I got my camera in
focus it had dropped from 613 to 600.  Still plenty hot enough to sear some steaks or burgers!


Seasoned and ready to cook on! Just need to decide what I am going to cook tonight on it!  Really
thinking just some burgers and Conecuh sausage for the first go around.

That's a beauty Mike....looks like you  are curing that thing right with peanut oil. I hope you don't do like I did.....it is the only thing I have cooked on since I got it. I am still learning, but I do love it !!!!

For those of y'all who have an SRG and would like racks like mine, I found these today.

They come as a set now not individual as before.  And 4.99 for the pair is cheaper than the 3.99 each I was paying

ONE NOTE:  These work great but in the HIGH heat infrared the coating may come off.  If this happens just wire brush down and season each time you use them.  I have 15 of them

I ordered 2 sets too. And you are right JJ the shipping was more than the racks.  ;)

Better order a few more , once you start using them you will need spares that are clean and ready to go for the next day  ;)

reason I have so many, I wash a bunch up but have plenty to use standing by  :D :D :D
