I am going to cook some rib eyes tomorrow. Searing one on the new guy and one on the Lockhart. We'll see how it goes!

It looks well built and it's cheap. I saw a post on a Facebook group I am a part of and the guy had posted a video about it and guess who made that video? Tomcrete, lol! You can think of just about any cooking device and google it and you'll se a video review by Tom, lol!

He's the reason I bought it AND the fact that it's cheap :)

That reminds me, I have a rebate form to fill out for it, an 11% rebate, lol. Not 15%, nope. Not 8%......11%! That's such a weird spot to land, who came up with that arbitrary number I wonder?  ;D

Here's the link to it, as far as I can see only Menards sells it.

https://www.menards.com/main/outdoors/grills-outdoor-cooking/tabletop-portable-grills/caveman-tabletop-steak-cooker/mamnr19025cg/p-1569306632883.htm

It looks very similar to the "Beefer" which is $700 : https://us.beefer.com/shop/the-beefer/?gclid=EAIaIQobChMI65W6oZKI6AIVCaCzCh13eAABEAQYASABEgL2aPD_BwE

For $120.00 it was hard to pass up. Technically it cost me $141.97 ($119.99 plus $2.80 processing fee $9.89 shipping $9.29 sales tax) - 11% ($13.20 as they calculated it, which it should be $15.62)  = $128.97

FAR cheaper the "BEEFER"!!

Ward, take it easy on the "BEEFER"  ???

Alright boys and grills girls! The results are in. Before we get to the good stuff, I have to say that this little cooker is fantastic! As long as it holds up, it'll be WELL worth the money.

Different shots of the Caveman in action, this thing is AWESOME to cook on! These first 2 pics are of my son's NY Strip

Steph's Rib Eye getting toasty

My Rib Eye getting some flame love

Pit Boss Seared Rib Eye for me

Steph's Rib Eye, seared on the Caveman

All of the steaks were started on the Pit Boss, to get some wood fired flavor, at 100 degrees each was plated and awaited their fate in the searer of choice. I ramped up the PB and opened the gates of hell to let the flame sear mine :P

We ALL immensely enjoyed our steaks. The Caveman can cook the steak as well as sear. As you see in some of the pics, I lowered the steaks away further from the heat to allow cooking more so than searing.

If you're on the fence about this little gadget, just go ahead and get it while the rebate is in effect.

I wanted to take more pics but I had 2 different smoking hot cookers to tend to, I was lucky to get what I got, lol!

Oh yeah, forgot the deets as the kids say, lol

Cajun seasoned shrimp cooked in the Cosori air fryer, sauteed shrooms, pan roasted yellow potatoes and onions, little piece of garlic bread toasted. Good stuff!

If it had to racks you could cook more steaks by rotating them as you cook them to keep them warm

You guys are lucky that your Home Depot's carry nice stuff. I went to Home Depot yesterday afternoon for some things I needed and as always walked through the outdoor cooking isle and only see the usual regular grills. Nothing out of the ordinary.

Cool looking little cooker! Is there anything else it does other than cook a good steak? You know.... can it bake or anything?

Where does it stand for you, is it a keeper?
